Hakata
Your first bearings, Kukuru, and gestures that slowly become familiar.
7 days in Fukuoka
Japan already draws you in.
This time, take part in the journey.
Mei has prepared a seven-day stay for you in southern Japan. Discover Fukuoka differently: make your own choices, use Japanese in context, and understand the culture through the situations you live.
The first day is free to experience.
You have watched films, listened to the language, saved places to visit. Perhaps you have even learnt a few words.
But looking at Japan and taking part in it are two different things.
Imagine opening your eyes in Hakata. Looking around. Receiving a message from Mei. Finding a place, meeting someone, trying a few words.
And seeing where your choices take you.
Hakata, Nakasu, Itoshima, Tenjin… You move from neighbourhoods to coast, without knowing everything in advance.

Your first bearings, Kukuru, and gestures that slowly become familiar.

A counter, a few words, a conversation that may begin without warning.

Take the road, manage your time and move with a little less help.

Watch the festival come alive, then decide how you want to take part.
And other stops the journey would rather let you discover once you are there.
In L’Été Bleu, you do not simply follow a story. You take part in your journey: what you notice, what you try and the choices you make travel with you through the rest of your stay.
You begin with day one. Then, as your stay continues, a new day opens. The journey keeps its own rhythm: you can take your time, come back later and pick up where you left off.
Seven days to live, one after another. Discover what comes next along the way.

Order. Reply. Understand a sign. Recognise an expression. Dare to try. Japanese appears where you may actually need it.
Language becomes part of the journey.
At the table, on transport, at a shrine, in someone’s home or during an encounter, you understand habits and gestures because you meet them in context.
Little by little, some things begin to feel natural.
At first, Mei gives you more cues. She can help you understand a situation, draw your attention to a detail or reassure you while everything is still new.
Then she gradually steps back. The point is not to guide every move, but to let you gain confidence inside your own stay.

The person who welcomes you when you arrive and gives you time to settle into the first gestures.

A meeting that may remain a moment… or take a little more space in your journey.

You’ll get to know her as your stay unfolds.
As your stay unfolds, each day leaves a stamp in your passport. Here’s a glimpse; the others await you during the journey.

The rest awaits you on the journey.
That is exactly what the first day is for: entering the journey.
